MATER DEI INSTITUTE OF EDUCATION

The Mater Dei Institute of Education is a small, friendly college, with approximately 600 students. There is an excellent relationship between staff and students. MDI is a College of Dublin City University, and degree awards are made by DCU. The Institute specialises in preparing its students for becoming second-level teachers of the following subjects: Religion with English, History or Music. The Institute also offers a B.A. in Irish Studies & Religious Studies. Centrally located minutes from Dublin City Centre in the heart of Drumcondra, the Institute attracts students from all over the country and this diversity makes for both a pleasant study environment and strong community spirit. The Institute has an excellent rate of progression into the teaching profession in Ireland.
