Colleges and universities that take part in the DARE scheme run a number of information days and open days throughout the year for guidance counsellors and students who are thinking of applying to college.
Specific Events are run for students with disabilities, the most significant of which are the DARE Application Advice Clinics and the Better Options event.

Better Options (supported by DAWN and AHEAD)
If you have a disability or specific learning difficulty and would like to go to college, you may be interested in coming along to this event. Representatives from Universities, Institutes of Technology and further education colleges will be there to give you information on application procedures, course details and the various supports that are available for you. They will provide information on courses and will be on hand to discuss supports in third level. There will also be workshops on DARE for students and Guidance Counsellors.Contact the Disability Service in the host institution for more information.
