What Colleges participate?

DUBLIN CITY UNIVERSITY (DCU)

Dublin City University is a young university, situated on an 85 acre campus three miles north of the River Liffey in the city centre and just a 15-minute drive from Dublin airport. With the city just a 10-minute bus drive away, students of DCU have the best of both worlds; the social and cultural benefits of city life, but with the security and vibrancy of a university campus built very much for today.

DCU Entry Requirements DARE 2011

Students applying to DCU must achieve a minimum of 300 points in addition to the University Minimum Entry Requirements, these are:

  • Grade C3 in TWO Higher Level subjects and Grade D3 in FOUR Ordinary or Higher Level subjects including Mathematics and English or Irish.
  • Obtain the specific programme requirements.

DCU will consider students on the basis of SIX subjects in ONE sitting of the Leaving Certificate. Please note that we cannot guarantee entry based on the Minimum Entry Requirements.

DCU Restricted Courses

DCU does not offer access places in the following courses:

  • DC211 BA in Music Performance (outside CAO)
  • DC212 BA in Composition (outside CAO)
